Bleeding trees, Harpies, cyclops and more! In Book III of the Aeneid, Aeneas the refugee Trojan prince concludes for Queen Dido the tale of his wanderings that he began in Book II. In ALI’s “Aeneid Seminars,” we spend an entire term conducting a close reading of a single book of Virgil’s masterpiece, reading and discussing it in Latin. In this class, we will be studying the entirety of Book III.
