Intermediate Old English I (E201): Spring Term
In this course, you will read an assortment of authentic, unadapted primary texts in Old English, carefully selected for your reading level, all the while gaining comfort with the language’s grammar and adding to your store of vocabulary. You will read widely across the genres of Old English prose literature, including both secular and religious works. You will also get your first taste of Old English poetry. Reading selections include excerpts from “The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle” and “The Battle of Maldon.”

- Class sessions last 1.5 hours
- 1 class session per week
- Course lasts 14 weeks

- Old English 201 will be split into two different sections.
- E201 Section A will meet on Thursdays, 7am – 8:30am PST (San Francisco)
- E201 Section B will meet on Saturdays, 8am – 9:30am PST (San Francisco)

- We want to make sure you’re completely satisfied. If you don’t love your first Anglo-Saxon class, we guarantee a 100% refund. After that, in weeks 2 – 4, refunds will be made on a pro rata basis, based on however many class sessions you’ve attended. We cannot issue refunds after the fourth week of classes.
