In this course your student will learn Latin through engaging pictures, sentences, and short stories. No need to spend hours suffering through grammar charts and dry vocabulary lists that get you nowhere. Instead, you will begin listening to, understanding, speaking, reading, and laughing in Latin from the very first day of class. This course is designed particularly for high school students (grades 9-12) as well as for middle school students who have previous Latin experience. After completing High School Latin 1, students will move on to High School Latin 2.

- The Latin adjective system, including comparative and superlative degrees.
- Understand the syntax of the simple sentence in Latin.
- Encounter basic historical, philological, artistic, and cultural facts about the ancient Romans and their world.
