Beginner Biblical Hebrew IV (H104) picks up from Unit 20 of The Routledge Introductory Course in Biblical Hebrew by Lily Kahn. Students entering the course already read vocalized Hebrew comfortably and know the core grammar—strong and weak verbs, qatal/yiqtol, the wayyiqtol, nominal sentences, and basic syntax.
In H104, we continue through the later chapters at a steady, enjoyable pace, exploring advanced topics such as volitives, participles, infinitives, relative clauses, and additional particles and verb stems. Alongside the grammar, we read and discuss the biblical excerpts in each unit, building confidence and fluency in real Biblical Hebrew.
This course is ideal for students who have completed H103 (or its equivalent) and want to continue strengthening their reading skills in a supportive environment.
